Worship Series Pivot
Last week, our "Encountering Jesus" worship theme invited us to notice where Christ shows up in the people around us. Starting this week, that theme evolves into "The Ask" — a shift from seeing to responding. Each week we'll sit with a different biblical relationship — kin, friend, stranger, newcomer, self — and ask what it costs to say yes when God calls on us through the people in our lives.
This Sunday: Esther and "The Ask"
This Sunday we turn to the story of Esther — a queen asked by her cousin Mordecai to risk everything for people who aren't even her own. God is never named in the book of Esther, yet God's presence is unmistakable in the ask itself. We'll explore what it means to show up "for such a time as this," and what costly, faithful asks might be waiting for us today.
