Worship Series
For the first part of 2026, we will be focusing on the three foundational pillars that shape Hope United Methodist Church's identity and calling: Inclusion, Connection, and Creation. These aren't just aspirational words on a page—they're the DNA of who we are as a community and how we live out Christ's love in the world. Each pillar invites us deeper into the transformative work God is doing in and through us.
Eugene Peterson’s translation of John 1:14 doesn’t say “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” It says the Word “moved into the neighborhood.”
God didn’t send a memo. Didn’t livestream from heaven. Moved in — with lungs, with hands, with feet that got muddy.
This Sunday we’re sitting with what that means for us: not as a call to do more, but as an invitation to see differently. What if our neighborhoods are more like a tidal marsh than a problem to be solved — teeming with life, layered with history, full of ordinary grace already in progress — and we’re just not close enough to see it yet?
Come with your whole self. We’ll gather at the table, where grace has always been in progress, and ask together: what is God already doing here?
Worship begins at 10:30a. Holy Communion will be shared.
